The Heart Embroidered Tee
The plateThe HeartEverything with this plateRelaxed. Take your usual size.Sizes
The heart seen from the front, with the coronary arteries and the great vessels picked out in thread. Drawn by N. H. Jacob for J.-M. Bourgery’s Traité complet de l’anatomie de l’homme, Paris, 1831–1854.
The embroidery
Heavy ring-spun cotton, 207 g/m², dyed after sewing, so it comes soft and a little lived-in. Embroidered on the centre of the chest, about 6 × 10 cm, in maroon and red thread. The plate is in the public domain; the embroidery is a simplified stitched version of it, from the scan in the Wellcome Collection.
